News - Eagle Scout

Thank you to Ben Hogan for his tireless dedication on seeing his Eagle Scout Project to completion! Ben chose Autism Cares Foundation for his project and visited with ACF to learn about some of the immediate needs – space! Ben proposed building a shed, which would provide much needed storage space. He began by fundraising for the supplies and then he, along with his fellow scouts and family members, got down to the building process. The shed project had numerous phases including leveling the ground; building a base, and allowing it to settle; erecting the frame, shingling the roof; and painting. Over the course of few months, the project was complete, and the shed began filling with ACF items. Ben stopped in on June 24 to make it official by inspecting the shed interior and meeting with ACF Co-Founder, Frank Kuepper. Frank provided the signature for final approval of Ben’s Eagle Scout Project. The project will be forever commemorated by the plaque, which was installed right above the shed door. Congratulations Ben and thank you to all the boy scouts and their families for this extraordinary effort for Autism Cares Foundation!
