Employment Opportunities

Autism Cares Foundation has employment opportunities across our two divisions. Our Adult Services Division regularly recruits Direct Support Professionals and others. If you or someone you know is interested, please click on the button below to submit your resume.

Open Positions:

Life Skills Professional: As a Life Skills Professional you will play an integral role in increasing independence and building confidence, while cultivating a fun and engaging learning environment. Our program values creativity and flexibility in working with individuals with various abilities and strengths. The ideal candidate will have experience working with adults with autism and other intellectual disabilities providing adaptive instructional supports and implement curriculum that promotes our participating individuals' growth in social and group environments both in facility and in the community.  If you have a passion for improving the lives of others and a desire to make a meaningful impact, we encourage you to apply. Come help our folks learn, grow, and have fun doing it!

Direct Support Professional: We are looking for fun and compassionate people who would enjoy working with our participants, helping them throughout the day, providing companionship, assisting with skill development and integrating them into the community. No experience necessary; training is provided and paid.

Volunteer

Volunteer
Volunteers age 17 and Under

Volunteers age 17 and under will need to complete the registration form with a parent or guardian. Once completed, you will be able to volunteer with us.

To find out about our volunteer opportunities, join our volunteer email list by scrolling to the bottom of this page and signing up. Volunteer opportunities are  emailed at the end of each month for the following month's activities.

Volunteer Registration Form 17 and Under
Volunteers age 18 and Older

1. Volunteers age 18 and older are required to complete the registration form as well as the following clearances: A) PA Criminal Background for Volunteers (free); B) PA Child Abuse (free) and, C) FBI Fingerprint (If you have not lived in the state of Pennsylvania the entirety of the last 10 years (cost $22)) or Residency Disclosure Statement (if you have lived in Pennsylvania the entirety of the last 10 years: Click here). Online clearance applications can be found at http://keepkidssafe.pa.gov/resources/clearances/index.htm.

2. Once you receive your clearances, please forward to events@autismcaresfoundation.org.

3. Sign up for our volunteer newsletter at the bottom of this page. Volunteer opportunities are mailed at the end of each month for the following month's activities

Intern

Internships

Autism Cares Foundation has internship opportunities in the following areas:

  • Public relations: working in our office on press releases, social media and activities planning
  • Graphic design and video: working with our office staff on capturing the memories of our events
  • Adult day program: working directly with our participants over age 21
  • Other opportunities – let us know your interests
